Mrs. Anita F. (Veilleux) Berry, 76, of 15 Bret St., Berlin, NH passed away on Saturday September 11, 2010 at the Dartmouth Hitchcock Medical Center in Lebanon with family by her side. She was born in Berlin, NH on December 5, 1933, the daughter of Napoleon and Leona (Nadeau) Veilleux and was a lifelong resident of the Berlin-Gorham area. She graduated from Notre Dame High School in 1952 and attended nursing school at St. Marys in Lewiston, ME. She had been employed by Paper City Cable in 1954 and later worked at the Home Bank for 25 years when she retired as a loan officer. She was a member of St. Kieran Church, now known as Good Shepherd Parish, enjoyed HAM radio where her call letters were KB1DZP and volunteered at AVH. She enjoyed time spent at her camp on Success Pond. Members of the family include her husband John M. Berry of Berlin, NH: a daughter Diane Erdahl of Mobridge, SD; a son David P. Fontaine of Gorham, NH; step-children Jay Berry of Canterbury, NH and Holly Fontaine of Gorham, NH; granddaughters Eliza Laflamme of No. Concord, VT and Abigail Fontaine of Gorham, NH; grandson Adam Fontaine of Gorham, NH; step-grandsons Maxwell Berry and Levi Berry of Canterbury, NH; sisters Louise Lachance and husband Jay of Manchester, NH and Paulette Langlois and husband Richard of Berlin, NH; a brother-in-law Sonny Gagne; nieces, nephews and cousins. She was predeceased by her first husband, Lucien Joe Fontaine in 1983, a sister Evelyn Gagne, and her parents. A Memorial Service will be held on Friday, September 17 at 11:00 AM at the Bryant Funeral Home, 180 Hillside Ave., Berlin, NH. Interment will be in the Holy Family Cemetery. Relatives and friends may call at the funeral home from 9:00 to 11:00 AM prior to the service. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Upper Valley Hostel, 17 South Street, Hanover, NH 03755 in her memory.
