Andre R. Morin

October 13, 1940 — April 15, 2020

Andre R. “Andy” Morin, 79, of Milan, passed away on Wednesday April 15, 2020 at his home. He was born on October 13, 1940 the son of Clovis and Rose (Vaillancourt) Morin and lived in the area most of his life. Andy served in the US Air Force from 1959 to 1963. Andy’s final Air Force assignment was in Buffalo NY where he met and became engaged to Sharon “Sherry” Stoeckel. The couple returned to New Hampshire where they married and Andy joined the State Police in 1964. Stationed out of Troop A in Bow NH, he patrolled aggressively, much to the chagrin of many. The powers that be decided it would be wiser to have Andy patrol further north and he was transferred to Troop F in 1977, much to his satisfaction. He retired as a Lieutenant and head of the Motor Vehicle Enforcement Unit-North in 1991. After retirement he kept busy working part time for Coos County Sheriff’s Office, hunting, fishing, gardening and restoring furniture. He was a frequent attendee of auctions and supervised many a building project and renovation-just don’t ask him for the plans, because they rarely existed on paper.

His family includes his wife Sherry of Milan, NH; daughters Melinda Morin and husband Dennis Farmer of Milan, NH and Jennifer Morin of Milan, NH; daughter-in-law Ann Morin of Berlin, NH; grandchildren Christina Gale and husband Dennis, Keith Morin, Thomas Binnette, Abigail Farmer and Drew Farmer; sister Anne Laroche and husband Moe of Berlin, NH; brother Pierre Morin and wife Nicole of Berlin, NH; nieces, nephews. He was predeceased by sons Carl Morin and Marc Morin.

Per his request, there will be no services. The family will host a gathering for family and friends at future date. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Kidney Foundation. The Bryant Funeral Home is in charge of the arrangements. Online guestbook at www.bryantfuneralhome.net.
