Mrs Alice Jutras (Lafrance) Murphy passed away Saturday evening (September 25, 2010) at Androscoggin Valley Hospital following a period of declining health. She was 86.

Born on March 10, 1924 in Berlin, NH she was the daughter of Edgar and Coronna (Dannault) Jutras.

A lifelong resident of Berlin, Alice was a longtime resident of Sweden Street and had resided at Coos County Nursing Home for the past five years. She attended Berlin Schools.

She was a homemaker, enjoyed fishing and playing golf. She spent many summers at Jefferson Campground.

She was a communicant of St. Kieran Church now known as St. Anne Church of Good Shepherd Parish in Berlin.

She is survived by 2 daughters Mrs Louise (Lafrance) Cote and her husband Roland of Randolph, NH and Mrs Lorraine (Lafrance) Shepard and her husband Michael of Gorham.

2 Sons Thomas Murphy and his wife Deanne Murphy of Gorham, NH and Patrick Murphy of Orlando, FL.

5 Grandchildren: Scott Cote, Jill Cote Bosa, Shelley Ladd, Joey & Reagan Murphy. 4 Great-Grandchildren Noah & Madison Bosa and Alicia & Ryan Ladd.

6 Sisters: Eva St. Hilaire & Rita (Raymond) Michaud both of Berlin, NH Cecile (Francis) Croteau of New Carrollton, MD, Rose (Romeo) Cote of Enfield, CT Doris (Donald) Roy of Claremont, NH and Lorraine (David) Roy of Northboro, MA

She is pre-deceased by her first husband Roland Lafrance (1960) and Joseph H. Murphy (1990) and 5 brothers: Maurice, Roland, Robert, Emile, and Paul Jutras and a sister Irene Valerino.

A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 11am Thursday, September 30 at St. Anne Church of Good Shepherd Parish in Berlin, NH. The Rite of Committal will follow at Mt. Calvary Cemetery in Berlin. There are no calling hours. Memorial donations to Coos County Nursing Home, c/o Activity Fund, Cates Hill Road, Berlin, NH 03570
