Alice Gagne

Alice P. Gagne, 89, of Berlin, passed away on Monday, November 19, 2018 at the Androscoggin Valley Hospital. She was born in Berlin on June 23, 1929 the daughter of George and Delvina (Fortier) Bergeron and graduated from Notre Dame High School in 1947. She married her husband, Normand, in 1960 and they lived in West Milan for 53 years before moving back to Berlin in 2013. She worked as a writer for the Berlin Reporter and as a housekeeper at St. Joseph Parish. Alice was a member of Good Shepherd Parish and the Secular Franciscans. She and Normand also volunteered at St. Kieran Center for the Arts. Family includes her husband Normand W. Gagne of Berlin, NH; children Denise Miller and husband Paul of Berlin, NH, Marguerite Gagne of Groveton, NH, Cecile Van Hecke and husband David of Sussex, WI and Louise Gagne of Menomonee Falls, WI; 10 grandchildren; nieces, nephews and cousins. She was predeceased by siblings Benoit Bergeron, Claire Fortier, Gerard Bergeron and Theresa Hill, and grandson Charlie Van Hecke. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Monday, November 26th at 10 AM at St. Anne Church of Good Shepherd Parish. Interment will follow in the St. Kieran Cemetery. Relatives and friends may call at the Bryant Funeral Home, 180 Hillside Ave., Berlin on Monday, November 26th from 8:30 AM to 9:30 AM prior to the service.
