Alice F Poirier

Berlin, NH

Alice F. Poirier of Hillside Avenue passed away Monday, March 30, 2015 at Androscoggin Valley Hospital in Berlin, NH following a period of declining health. She was 73.

Born on November 5, 1941 in Berlin, NH, she was the daughter of William and Alice Dube.

Alice attended St. Joseph Grammar School and Notre Dame High School in Berlin.

On September 11, 1965, she married Rudolph L. Poirier. Together they raised a son and a daughter.

Alice was employed as a nurse's aide at St. Louis Hospital and Coos County Nursing Home in Berlin. She was a communicant of St. Joseph Church and now known as St. Anne Church of Good Shepherd Parish.

Her greatest enjoyment was spending time with her grandchildren and family. She also enjoyed cooking, crafts, knitting, and cross country skiing.

She was predeceased by her parents.

She leaves her loving husband of 50 years Rudolph "Rudy" Poirier of Berlin; a son Gary Poirier and companion Kim Harris of Berlin; a daughter Diane Johnson and husband Ken of Statesboro, GA; three grandsons: Dylan Poirier, Justin Poirier, and Jacob Johnson; three sisters: Terry Charest and husband Henry of Northboro, MA, Rita Distin of Avon, CT, and Cecile Allen of Bristol, CT; several nieces and nephews.

A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 1:00pm Wednesday, April 1st at St. Anne Church of Good Shepherd Parish in Berlin. Burial will follow at Mt. Calvary Cemetery in Berlin.

Calling hours will be held from 6:00pm to 8:00pm today (Tuesday, March 31st) and Wednesday, April 1st from 11:30am to 12:30pm prior to the mass at Fleury-Patry Funeral Home, 72 High Street, Berlin, NH.
