Alfred Chubby Willette, 85, of Berlin Gorham Road, Gorham, NH passed away unexpectedly on Tuesday, May 2, 2006. He was born in Cascade Flats, Gorham, NH on October 21, 1920. He was the son of Rose (Lavigne) and George Ouellette, and one of eight children. Chubby was a lifelong resident of Gorham and a prominent businessman in the Berlin-Gorham area. He started his career working for Lavingnes Red Wing Express Trucking Company. With the assistance of family and friends, he co-established C&S Bowladrome which he operated for 28 years. Starting with a single vending machine, he became co-founder and President of C & S Vending Machine Company which has continued to serve the North Country for over 50 years. Chubby proudly served his country in World War II as a member of the Navy SeaBees and saw action on the islands of Guam and Midway. He is a member of the American Legion Post 82. Chubby is survived by his loving wife of fifty seven years, Violet Pare; a son Robert Willette of Gorham; three daughters, Cecile Clark and her husband Richard of Gorham, Diane Ballinger and husband Glenn of Portland, CT, Joan Willette and her fiancee Michael Lodigiani of Portland, CT; daughter in law Pauline Willette; Chubby was predeceased by two sons Jean and Peter. Pepere will be sadly missed by his nine grandchildren and their spouses. He is also survived by five sisters Rose Lepage of Gorham, NH, Florence Blanchfield of Toms River, NJ, Edna Gagne of Berlin, NH, Madeline McCarthy of Staten Island, NY, one brother Brother Alfred George of Roselle, NJ. Chubby was predeceased by a sister Jeanine and a brother George. He will be greatly missed by his family and friends. SERVICES: Funeral services will be held on Saturday May 6, 2006 at 12:00 PM, from the Bryant Funeral Home, 1 Promenade Street, Gorham, NH, followed by a Mass of Christian Burial at 1:00 PM at Holy Family Church, 5 Church Street, Gorham, NH. Interment will be in the Holy Family Cemetery. Calling hours will be on Friday, May 5, 2006 from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 PM at the funeral home. In lieu of flowers, donations in his memory may be made to Holy Family Church Kitchen Restoration Fund, 5 Church Street, Gorham, NH 03581.
