Adeline H. Devoid

Adeline Halle Devoid, 96, of Berlin, passed away on Monday March 19, 2018 at her home. She was born in Gorham, ME on January 21, 1922 the daughter of Odina A. and Adeline (MaGuire) Halle and has lived in Berlin her entire life. She graduated from Berlin High School and had been employed by Bell Telephone for 15 years, including during World War II, and then took time off to raise her family. She was a single mother who took great pride in raising her children and was always very supportive of them. She was employed as a ward clerk at the Androscoggin Valley Hospital for 28 years, retiring at the age of 76. She was a member of St. Kieran Church, enjoyed swimming, horseback riding, crocheting, visiting with her family and friends and was an avid reader. Family includes her children Adele Hapgood and husband Mark of Manchester, NH, Priscilla Whitt and husband Gary of West Rutland, VT, George Devoid and wife Debbie of Goffstown, NH and Paul C. Halle and wife Linda of Bethel, ME and grandchildren Kristen Devoid, Joel Devoid and Miranda Gaudette. Funeral Services will be private. Interment will be in the St. Kieran Cemetery. The Bryant Funeral Home is in charge of the arrangements.
